A heart pulsing journey into the new world.
I've really enjoyed the first four books in this series. It's a timeframe I know nothing about, and learning the history of the birth of America through the eyes of the Mallory family has been really enjoyable. Paul writes well, developing well thought out characters that have strengths and flaws, making them engrossing protagonists in this sprawling tale.
At no point in the last book - or the first three from what I remember - did I lose sight of where I was, the world is well constructed, the sights, smells, feels brought to life from the page. I hope this isn't the end of the Mallory Saga - surely there's one more at least left in the tank?
