I can't believe no one ever told me about these books! This is so brilliantly written, each sentence so well constructed that you can't help but learn from it as you read. Jackson Lamb may be the greatest creation I've ever read, some of his dialogue made me laugh out loud. The plot is superbly constructed and after (a long) introduction to the main cast it speeds along at breakneck pace.
